Citizen Communication is celebrating after winning a high-profile marketing and communications tender with Worcestershire County Council. The contract, which will run until June 2023, is to support the development and delivery of marketing and communications to maximise take-up of the Council’s numerous business support programmes.

The County Council, in conjunction with partners, delivers a number of ‘Business Worcestershire’ business support and grant projects to enable businesses to start up, grow, become more sustainable and invest in Worcestershire. Sustainable economic and business growth is a key priority for the County Council.

Worcestershire County Council’s ‘Open for Business’ strategy focuses on ‘rebalancing’ Worcestershire’s local economy through a series of measures aimed at encouraging private sector investment, business and employment measures whilst also reducing greenhouse gases.

The projects to be supported include:

  • Technology and business growth programmes
  • Support programmes for start-ups and early stages businesses
  • A zero-carbon ready initiative to help businesses reduce their carbon footprint in Worcestershire
  • A business energy efficiency programme covering Worcestershire, Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Herefordshire and a low-carbon programme across Worcestershire and Shropshire.
