New Wyre Forest Brand Launches
September 23, 2020
We’ve been working with the Wyre Forest District Council for over five years now, and this year they presented us with one of their biggest projects and challenges to date.
The Wyre Forest includes the towns of Kidderminster, Stourport-on-Severn and Bewdley as well as several civil parishes and villages in Worcestershire.
The (now old) district council brand had been around for some time and Communications and Engagement Officer, Suzanne Johnston-Hubbold, was keen to bring the brand into the 21st century.
We were tasked with creating a modern, fresh and friendly brand for the region that would position the council as more than ‘just bins’.
We needed to retain the brand colours and ‘leaf’ of the logo, but other than that then we had free reign. Three of the Studio Team each took a potential route. All three were presented to the Suzanne and her team and a winner was chosen and brought to fruition. We even delivered a whole host of editable templates for Suzanne’s wider team to use going forward.
Suzanne had this to say about the final rebrand “Citizen delivered a new look and feel for the council that we were after. They have built on our recognisable logo and given clarity on how it should be used, adding strength and depth to our brand.
“We were able to use the new social media templates straight away. This helped us improve our engagement, which has been vital during the Coronavirus pandemic.”
The brand is now being rolled out throughout the various departments and regions so keep your eyes peeled if you are a local resident.
