The Pillar Project
June 9, 2020
We were recently asked to glam up a pillar for one of our longstanding clients Sim Local and it was definitely 'shall we say' a unique brief.
We never shy away from a challenge so took this on with enthusiasm and only a little concern around the two week deadline.
The pillar they spoke of was located in one of their retail outlets in Heathrow Airport, and frustratingly didn’t seem to be attracting any footfall into the store at all. So, they asked us ‘pimp it up’ and create something that would not only show off the brand, but draw in any passers by!
Working closely with Indi Jutlay, project leader for this particular brief at Sim Local, we ploughed through day and night to meet the deadline, buried under airport protocols, installation paperwork, risk assessments and 3D renders. But we got there in the end and created a bright, fresh and eye-catching display that Sim Local and We Know London were really chuffed with.
From concept all the way through to installation, we’re super proud to show off what determination, talent and persistence can accomplish! Our amazing studio team created fantastic 3D visuals to kick start the project, and our production and project managers filled in the gaps. We love it when all of us have to work collaboratively to achieve our goal, it tests us under pressure and reminds us of how tenacious we can be.
That’s not to say we didn’t encounter a few hiccups along the way – rejected paperwork, dodgy fonts, late deliveries, brainstorming ‘disagreements’, and only a couple of complete meltdowns… that was all though!
All being said and done, we love the finished product so here’s the before and after so you can see for yourself…
